Bloomlight City is in development. Dev builds come with a note tool (F8) so you can tell us what you think, and they update themselves.

Installing
- macOS: Unzip, then open the app. It is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app.
- Windows: Unzip, then run the .exe. Windows doesn't know this build yet (it isn't code-signed), so SmartScreen may warn: choose "More info", then "Run anyway".
- Linux: Unzip, make the game executable (chmod +x on the .x86_64 file), then run it.
After the first install, the game checks for updates itself (Playtest › Check for updates on the title screen).
What's new

- The bloomlightcity.com site is live, with in-game screenshots, downloads, a world map, and devlogs.
- Dev builds now check for updates automatically every 30 minutes while you play.
- An update found mid-play waits until you hit the title or pause screen, so it won't interrupt what you're doing.
- Hitting Later turns off automatic checks for that build.
- A build that's already downloading or ready won't be offered to you again.

- Dev builds: F8 notes you can send to the team, and updates from inside the game.
- Dev builds now show a build number and a "What's new" changelog for the version you're running.
- Dev builds check for updates and can install new patches automatically.
- Check for updates, What's new, and Send notes are now grouped under a new Playtest submenu.
- Playtest submenu opens and closes like Settings, with Esc/B backing out and focus returning correctly.
